Catalina Velasco

Catalina Velasco is a Chilean marine biologist currently living in the Mexican Caribbean, where she dives every day as an underwater photographer and scuba diving instructor. She is also a National Geographic Explorer and the cofounder of Fundación Mar y Ciencia (Sea and Science Foundation), an organization dedicated to bringing the ocean closer to people through environmental education and storytelling. Driven by the belief that conservation begins with connection, Catalina uses her voice and images to inspire people of all ages to care for the ocean.
